alpine hut can be found on the
Lower Engbergalm at 1,800 m in the pristine
Pfunderertal Valley, at the foot of the Wurmaulspitze (3,022 m). Here, nestled in the green of the valley, far away from mobile phone reception and noise, you will enjoy some truly special moments.
The hut was completely refurbished in summer/autumn 2010 using Pfunderer stone and lots of wood. Out of respect for nature, we avoided using concrete and have built a hut in keeping with the traditional style of this valley that blends into the natural surrounds.
Native species to the Pfunderer
mountains include: mountain goats, marmots, eagles and chamois.
